قامت مايا خليفة ممثلة الأفلام المحرمة المعتزلة بنشر مقطع فيديو على صفحتها الشخصية على موقع التواصل الاجتماعى الشهير انستجرام وكان مقطع الفيديو يحتوى على مشاهد من فيلمها الامريكي الجديد المعروف بإسم ( رامي ) وهو فيلم ظهر فيه ايضا الممثل المصري الهارب عمرو واكد وأثار ضجة كبيرة جدا حول ظهور ذلك الفنان فيه .
من ناحية اخرى فقد اعتزلت مايا خليفة مجال الأفلام المحرمة منذ فترة ليست بطويلة وذلك عقب خطبتها من الشيف السويدي روبرت ساندبيرج ولكنها عادت للمشاركة فى فيلم رامى وهو فيلم مثير للجدل يتم عرضه الان فى الولايات المتحدة الامريكية وهو يناقش احوال العرب والمسلمين الذين يعيشون في الولايات المتحدة ويصفهم بأنهم يسعون للحصول على الكثير من الاموال اضافة الى ان العرب الموجودين هناك يبحثون بشتى الطرق على الحصول على الجنسية الامريكية حتى لا يعودوا الى بلادهم مرة أخرى وأنهم يسافرون أمريكا لان العرب بطبعهم قد يكونوا عندهم ميلا أكثر للنساء وممارسة العلاقات المحرمة .
